Those thoughts went through my head yesterday. The issue was discussed here recently.
It makes me think of the ducking stool used for those accused of witch craft in medieval times in the UK. If an person accused of witchcraft drowned having been held under water then she was innocent. If she survived then she was guilty and was taken away to be hanged.
I feel so blessed to live under such free will.

Shared some TTATT with my wife and now she wants us to have a weekly personal bible study
by suavojr inhere is the situation.... a young 19 year old in our congo had a fallout with his parents because of all the restrictions and jw dogma and moved out of the house last wednesday.. to make the story short, the parents went running to the elders and what was the comfort?.
coe said: i saw that coming!
your son never reached out to get baptized.. then the other elder said: don't worry, you still have one left that will be saved.

I say, just do the bible reading schedule as from the society. The current section is Genesis. Just read the stuff in context. I guarantee you will find soemthing outrageous and indefensible in every chapter. Just read it rationally without the usual rose tinted glasses, you will love it.

Is there going to be a Borg anymore.?
by Slidin Fast ini find this hard to express properly but it seems to me that the rate of change is getting so rapid that nothing will be left of anything recognisable.
we used to say that any one coming back after 50 years would not recognise the "truth".. the entity existing now is totally different from 10 years ago.
it seems reasonable to suppose that this will continue to the point that nothing before 2010 will be safe to read for joe publisher (or possibly 'local instructor') so that he isn't corrupted or confused by old light.

Physics: What are your thoughts on life in the 4th,5th,and higher dimensions?
by EndofMysteries inif you do a little research there are many physics forums, discussions, and books about this.
it's a bit challenging to grasp but it's very interesting.
if there is life on this higher dimensions, they could see us yet we would be unable to see them.

cofty, I love the chart. It uses my favourite word in the English language. I would lobe to use it on the platform so here goes. BOLLOCKS. It covers all the main teachings of the WTBS.

It seems to me that no one actually can have a proper grip on beliefs or even the structure of the organization any more.
The whole thing is either morphing into something completely different or is dissolving before our eyes. Can it possibly take its sleep walking following with it?

The Birth of the Universe - Scientific Breakthrough
by cofty inresearchers working with a telescope at the south pole beleive they have glimpsed light from the first "trillionth of a trillionth of a tillionth" of a second after the big bang.. a lot of work has still to be done to confirm the findings, but if it holds up it is one of the biggest discoveries ever.. _________________________________________.
...inflation came with a very specific prediction - that it would be associated with waves of gravitational energy, and that these ripples in the fabric of space would leave an indelible mark on the oldest light in the sky - the famous cosmic microwave background.. the bicep2 team says it has now identified that signal.
scientists call it b-mode polarisation.

It must have been a brother!
by hoser ini was listening to a conversation of jws recently about how trusting they are with each other and how out in "the world" you have to be ever so careful that you don't put down your purse or wallet for a minute otherwise it will be stolen.. i entered the conversation with an experience that one of my close friends had.
(true story) he was in a public place with a wallet with significant amount of cash and bank card, credit card, id, etc.. somehow he lost or misplaced the wallet, panicked of course.
he went to the police, cancelled all his cards and thought it was gone for sure.

I work in a higher education establishment. Strangely despite the place being full of degenerate, materialistic students who have forsaken everything but their own advancement my experience has been of absolute honesty. I have a lap top and tablet and frequently leave them exposed to public view whilst I get a coffee or go for a bathroom break. I have never had one instance of theft or dishonesty. I am a bit careless, I have left jackets and other belongings over the years in various places round the campus. I once lost my wallet.
In every case my belongings are either where I left them, have been handed in or someone has gone to a lot of trouble to return them. I have no anxiety about the threat dishonesty or theft.
So the moral is. Dont send your kids to University, they may find out how decent ordinary people are.
